Welcome to the home page of the 1st Upwey Scout Group.
1st Upwey is in the south west corner of Sherbrooke Forest District, which is part of Yarra Valley Region, Victoria, Australia.
1st Upwey Scout Group is the local group for the Upwey, Tecoma and Belgrave areas. The group provides quality scouting programs to Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts and Rovers. 1st Upwey also provides opportunities for adults to gain skills, training and self satisfaction through participation in leadership and support roles.
1st Upwey Scout Group is a member of the Scout Association of Australia, Victorian Branch (Scouts Australia).
Scouting is an organisation the whole family can join in and have fun together.
Scouts Australia is a multicultural, non-political and non-denominational, uniformed youth organization. Young people (boys and girls) can join at any age between 6 years and 26 years. The aim of Scouts Australia, Victorian Branch is to encourage the physical, mental, social, and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens. This is achieved by programs which involve above all fun, and are active. Our teaching occurs using the “Scout Method” of learning by doing.
